Yesterday’s adventure was an absolute blast! The weather was sunny and hot, with temperatures reaching a pleasant 25 degrees. However, there was quite a strong wind blowing, making it feel even hotter.

I couldn’t believe my luck when I experienced a tailwind of 60 kilometers per hour! It made part of the journey so much smoother and quicker. The best part? There was absolutely no traffic, allowing me to enjoy the open road to its fullest.

But then, just when I thought the wind was on my side, a headwind of 40 kilometers per hour decided to challenge me. Did it change direction or did the road turn? It made the ride a bit more difficult, but hey, it’s all part of the adventure, right?

Along the way, I encountered a fascinating sight: kilometers of small grasshoppers covering the road. They were everywhere! It was like driving on a road covered with popcorn popping.

The highlight of the day was meeting some incredible people. I bumped into a lovely couple from Santiago, Chile, who sell RVs and were towing a fantastic trailer. Then, I met an older couple from Brazil cruising in a classic Range Rover. Finally, I crossed paths with a fellow traveler from Uruguay. It’s amazing how people from different corners of the world can come together on the road.

All of us were heading to Ushuaia, and the road ahead was deserted. I was in awe when I realized we had seen only one house in over 300 kilometers, except for the small town with only 30 residents where we stayed two nights ago. It truly felt like an adventure into the unknown.

For accommodation, we found a charming old stone roadhouse hotel where I had the pleasure of meeting five men from Lake Como, Italy. We shared stories, talked about fishing, and how they explored the off-road trails nearby. It was an intetesting conversation.

I arrived at my destination early, feeling tired and happy for the incredible warm sunny day. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! Stay tuned for more updates from the road. 🚗🌍🏞️
