🌬️ Yesterday, we experienced some high winds in the morning, but fortunately, they gradually subsided as the day went on. Despite the high wind, we decided to to ride, drafting behind te van to make it easier. However, our adventure was momentarily interrupted when a highway patrol officer stopped us, concerned about the dangers of riding in such windy conditions. After some convincing, we managed to persuade him to let me continue riding.

🚴‍♂️ As we continued our journey, the officer kindly escorted us to a nearby lunch spot before bidding us farewell. It was a nice gesture, and we appreciated the assistance.

🌿 We then faced a challenging 20-kilometer stretch of gravel road, which proved to be quite unpleasant. However, our spirits were lifted when we finally reached a beautiful lake with deep, bright blue water. The sight was breathtaking, prompting us to capture numerous photos to document the moment.

🦛 Amidst our exploration, Johana spotted an armadillo scurrying about, adding to the excitement of our adventure.

🏡 Our accommodation for the night was an estancia, which had a unique charm despite lacking basic amenities such as water, electricity, and heating. Despite the inconveniences, we found the place endearing.

🍽️ Dinner at the estancia exceeded our expectations, as we indulged in the most incredible empanadas we had ever tasted. The flavors were simply divine, making the meal a true highlight of our day.

👥 During dinner, we had the pleasure of meeting two fellow travelers who were having a late lunch. They were from Mendoza. Additionally, we were introduced to two friends of the manager, Mateo. The company was delightful, and we enjoyed exchanging stories and experiences.

🦙 Johana decided to join a hunting excursion for Guanaco, a type of animal native to the region. To our amazement, Mateo successfully shot one. He wasted no time in skinning it and turning it into a delicious meat sandwich. The taste was exceptional, with the meat being both rich and tender.

🛌 At night, we were grateful for the abundance of blankets provided, as they kept us warm and cozy despite the lack of heating. It was a peaceful and comfortable end to an eventful day. Overall, despite the challenges and uncertainties we faced, yesterday turned out to be a memorable and fulfilling day. We couldn’t have asked for a more adventurous and rewarding experience.
