They carry not just the weight of their gear but the essence of freedom in their heavy loads of camp gear, clothes, hopes, and dreams. It may be men who often appear most often, yet the strength of women wheels through just as fervently as they embrace the road less traveled, embarking solo or in shared strides with companions.
