Yesterday we had an enjoyable ride along the wine route. We stopped at a very small vineyard where the winemaker showed us around. Her name was Silvia and she was also a sommelier. She only produces about 1500 bottles a year and sells mostly through the cellar door and to a few restaurants. We only bought a bottle of rose to have with lunch.
There were a number of large vineyards with hotels or restaurants along the way.
