Today I leave the hotel and begin my solo unsupported excursion of Mallorca. My panniers are plenty big enough to hold everything I want to take as I navigate around what I believe will and has been a beautiful island. The bike shop, Embat, where I rented the bike kindly agreeded to store my backpack with some clothes that I decided I would not require over the next ten days.
I decided to journey counterclockwise and save the mountains and climbing till the end.
During the day I found myself on a number of
different surfaces, bike paths, highways, country roads and quaint lanes with rock walls on either side.

2. The coast line becomes very rocky, and the only bathing is around the rocks but the sea is calm and there are plenty of people enjoying the salt water.

As the afternoon was slowly fading away I headed to a coastal town, Porto Christo with it’s outstanding harbour.
