Since leaving Bogotá we descended into a valley that was a lot hotter than Bogota. Bogota was 16 and Annpoima was 35. It looks like a lot of the big city people have recreational homes around Annpoima.
We are now in Hobo in a remote hotel, glambing spot which would be good for fishing and birding.
Last night was spent in Villaviaja, a charming town close to Colombia’s badlands. Rachel, Mike, and Johana went out there and enjoyed the view and then they had a star-watching event. I was tired so Gloria stayed in town. To get to Villaviaja we had to load our bikes in a small boat to cross a very wide and fast moving river. In the town, there was native art as part of a big park.
